He was born Feb. 1831 in Germany.
according to census he emigrated 1835-36 as a child. His full name was
William Fredirich Gieselman. His were named Henry and Minnie ( whilemenia)
I have found no record of his parents.
Family lore says several brothers came together to N. Y. got seperated. How
this family ended in Vanderburgh co. I will never know. Famliy says he
changed his last name 5 or 6 times.
Wouldn't there be a record to be legal.?
I an open to any ideas.
Thank you

Are you sure he changed his name, or it was just spelled differently in
various documents? Gieselman is a name that could be spelled different
ways.
Have you tried searching on the first name (with specific place and
age
range) in
ancestry.com and/or heritage quest? What was his full name and b
date? -kk
