Hi, all!
I've posted before, but you never know when something new will
match! Here's some information I'd like to share. Please let me know
if you can match up with anything here!
WILLIAM FRANK LEE (8-16-1870 TO 8-11-1911)
m. ISABELLE WEST (7-8-1868 TO 4-27-1938) 9-3-1893
There children were all born in the Petersburg, Pike County IN area
according to the Lee Family Bible. Those children are:
RALPH ABRAHAM LEE (my grandfather) 4-14-1894 TO 3-5-1960 m. Effie Cleo
Chapman nine children born between 1915 and 1936. Ralph & Effie both
died in Modoc, Randolph County IN and are buried in the Riverside
Cemetery at Losantville.
ESSIE M. LEE 5-22-1896 TO 7-20-1897
ERWIN ROSCOE LEE 4-21-1898 TO 3-27-1967 m. (1) Lola M. Marks, (2) Bessie
(3) Pearline Coyle
CLAUDE O. LEE 5-2-1900 TO 10-8-1959 lifelong companion: Altha Iota (no
last name known) one son born 1923
ALICE M. LEE 2-24-1902 TO 3-2-1902
EDITH PEARL LEE 9-29-1903 TO 1-9-1977 m. Paul E. Gipe and had 7 children
between 1919 and 1940. They lived in Alexandria, Madison County IN
DELLA GRACE LEE 2-26-1907 TO 8-1-1968 m. (1) William A. McKessick (2)
Jeff Skelton Della died in Riverside CA
FRANCES E. LEE 6-9-1910 TO ???? this child was raised in the
Bronnenberg Children's Home in Anderson, Madison County IN. Don't know
why . . . m. (1) Henry Eitelman (2) Raymond Bensenbower
Also in the Lee Family Bible, there is a note about a James Lee who was
killed while driving a team of horses pulling a log wagon in 1910 in
Petersburg, IN. Left wife and two children. Also listed are Nellie Lee
(no dates) and Elizabeth Lee, who died in 1930. Don't know if they are
wife and daughter of James or sisters of William Frank Lee. I ordered
the death certificate of James and found that this parents are WILLIAM
BECK & ELIZABETH LEE. James was born 8-6-1882, died 11-12-1910 as
(graphic, but this is what the death certificate says) the result of
"compression of brain - accidental" James is buried in Walnut Hills.
I don't know where any of the people were born listed above, but as I
said, it was recorded in the Bible that they were all born in
Petersburg. Pike County IN. When I tried to find records of births,
deaths, etc., I hit a brick wall. It was rumored that William Frank Lee
was IRISH (??) and may have been an IMMIGRANT.
If anyone has any connections with this line, please contact me!
