Most of the Pike County cemeteries, including their alternate names and
directions are online. Go to
http://www.rootsweb.com/~inpike/Pikegen.htm
where you can use an all site search engine to find people. I entered "black
cemetery" (with the quotes) and found one in Monroe Township with the
following blacks in it:
BLACK, Albert, 6-27-1860 - 1-5-1882 - son of S. & M.
BLACK, David, d. 1-9-1874 - 76 yr 8 mo 5 da
BLACK, Elizabeth, b. 5-9-1841
BLACK, Fancis S., 2-2-1840 - 12-2-1898
BLACK, Martha, 2-8-1802 - 1-25-1870 - 66 yr 11 mo 15 da
BLACK, W. M., Lieut., Ga. Mil. Rev. War
Note, to get directions to the cemetery, you have to go back to the main
page, go to cemeteries, the click on Monroe twp, and scroll down to the
black cemetery.
Good searching. -kk

Subject: [INPIKE] Black Cemetery, Pike Co., IN
Hi Everyone:
Does anyone know if the Black Cemetery was renamed?
William Black Sr is buried there. I was wondering if
there is a sign for the cemetery? Does anyone know of
this cemetery?
Thanks for any help given.
