Pike County Democrat - November 28, 1902, Floys Coleman, aged 6 years, son
of Henry Coleman, of this city, died Sunday. Interment at the Anderson
cemetery Monday.
Pike County Democrat, January 3, 1913 - Robert Beadles, Sr., an old soldier
and most highly respected farmer, died at his home two and one-half miles
west of Stendal, last Sunday morning, at 7 o'clock, of dropsy. He was 71
years, 7 months and 9 days old. The remains were laid to rest in the
Barrett cemetery Monday, Rev. Ed Barrett conducting the funeral services.
Five children are left to mourn his death; U. O. Beadles, of Oakland city;
Benjamin Beadles, of Cup Creek; John Beadles, of Oaktown; Mrs. Jake Sattler
and Rodie Beadles, who resided with their father. - Stendal item.
Pike County Democrat - October 29, 1912 - When the death of Joshua Deen,
which occured about 7 o'clock yesterday morning at his home near the city
school building, became known, it caused a general surprise and regret
among the people. He had been ailing for some time, but his condition was
not regarded as dangerous until this week. He was born in Perry county,
June 29, 1834, and married to Miss Helena Riley on December 9, 1857, who
with four children, three brothers and four sisters, survive him. He was a
model and beloved citizen. No arrangements have been made for the holding
the funeral services. Rev. John Poucher will prepare an extended sketch of
the life of the deceased for this paper next week.
Pike County Demopcrat - October 25, 1912 - Mrs. Elmer Minnis, aged 23
years, died at her home in Ayshire, last Monday. funeral services were
conducted Tuesday by Rev. J. M. Burch at the Ayshire church, with interment
at the Blackfoot cemetery.
Pike County Democrat - October 25, 1912 - The infant child of Ed Keith was
buried at the Arnold cemetery last Tuesday evening.
