Alas, Virginia Ann Jarboe is not listed. I had thought it had most of the
Perry County Jarboes, but here come 2 it does not have. Those it does have
can then be traced back to John Jarboe in Maryland of 16whatever. It is
Mary Jo Maguire's book 3. The index has only persons surnamed Jarboe.

Thank you Linda.
You have a Jarbo book?!!!! I have a Virginia Ann Jarboe who married a
Marion Vest Marlow. Their daughter, Maud (b: about 1879), married James
David Johnson about 1899. They had 4 boys: Wilbur L., Rolly, Leo M. &
David James. I haven't found the family since the 1910 census in
O'Fallon, Ill. Do you have anything? Kim.

Death records are particularly apt to have mistakes. If the daughter who
gave the info is the child of the second wife, she may simply not know.
She
may remember hearing a name in some connection, and misapply. I spent a
long time looking for my grandmother's parents John and Mary from her
death
certificate. It turned out their names were Richard and Ellen. My aunt
who
gave the info knew only the surnames. They had died before she was born,
so
she just put John and Mary.
I did check my old Jarbo book for this Mary, but did not find her there.
