Okay - everyone seems to be awake on this board, so I'll ask this longshot question.
Someone found for me this entry of a marriage bond that was issued in Campbell county,
Kentucky in 1797
Does anyone know this John MURFY?
John was also a bondsman for Susanah's brother, Peter's marriage bond in Boone
county, KY a couple years later in 1800. They have traced Peter LeHUE in a 1969
genealogy book - with him in Spencer County, IN on the 1820 census, and the page after
Peter has a John MURPHEY and family - I don't have
ancestry.com, so I don't have
anything after that The LeHUE/LeHEW/LaHUE's are from Frederick/Shenandoah county, VA
originally.
- I know this isn't the only John MURPHY around at the time, does anyone know where I
might be able to confirm or deny this family - or suggestions on where to look, who to
ask, etc..??? Could he have gone to war? which one? Pension???
