In the early Beckinridge Co., KY deed book I page 30 is the following:
Torrance CONNER to Andrew AVIT, Nancy AVIT, Polly AVIT, Richard AVIT,
Jr. Personal property 11-20-1801
Also Richard AVIT, Sr. settled in Perry Co. IN near Rome about the
time Samuel and Terence CONNER did.
from "History of Perry County"
Richard AVIT, Sr was my 4 th g-grandfather. He served in the
Revolution both in the navy( USS Alfred & USS Andrew Doria) and the
Pennsylvania Continental Line of General Knox. .
Do you have any information as to a possible connection between
Richard and Terrance. Did they serve in the war together? I would
like to find the burial place of Richard.
