First, let me apologize about sending this to the group but in the last
month I have received over 400 messages from persons who I knew and asked
"for my advice" and had a file attached -- this was a virus and fortunately
I do NOT use Microsoft, Office, IE or Netscape mail so it could be passed
on, plus I never open attachments before scanning first, plus my email is
on completely different machine (still uses win3.1 and dos6.2) and no 32bit
windows products are used on this machine at all so it can't propogate (so
this email is safe).
I have also had LOTS of email messages from persons on these lists (that I
am sending this to) saying that the list was sending this out, etc. and
some even asking for me to unsubscribe/delete them from the lists (my
Indiana county lists). Personally I do NOT believe that this latter is
true since most all lists do NOT send attachments, and the virus messages I
have received all came from persons who had sent me email sometime or other
in the last 6 months.
For those who are receiving these messages PLEASE GO TO THIS ADDRESS since
it tells you what folders to look in and what files to look for --
INCLUDING YOUR RECYCLE FOLDER since most virus checkers don't even check
that particular folder.
This virus is running rampant and is properly called the W32/Sircam Virus.

This is for your info so you get it ALL out of your system if you have
gotten even one of those messages asking "for your advice", and I am hoping
that it can eventually be eradicated and I stop getting emails with this
virus in them.
ALSO NOTE in the above website info that in October if you do not have it
cleared out of your system it could possibly delete EVERYTHING as well as
IN THE MEANTIME it could cause your entire C: drive to fill up where you
can't even use it at all.
Again I apologize for sending this but know many persons have been having
this same problem and it even took me quite some time before I could even
find a good website telling about it and all the folders to check, the file
names, etc. that needs to be removed.
