I found this on a Civil War database:
Henry Speidel
Residence was not listed;
Enlisted on 1/18/1865 as a Private.
On 1/18/1865 he mustered as a substitute into "K" Co. IN 35th Infantry

I have copies of the Perry Co. Home Guard rosters as found at the Indiana State
Archives, but do not find Andrew Spiedel on any of the lists. Do you have reason to
believe that he did serve, or perhaps from some other area?
