Marjorie J. Harrison's book "My Dear Son: Letters to America 1852-1901" has
been published and I just wanted the Pannett descendants that this book is now in
existance.
She was kind enough to send me a copy of the book. Although only 68 pages long it not
only has the letters sent to America from England, but also has 14 photos and just the
ones of the family are rich finds -- how many times I have desired to see photos of my
ancestors only to not ever find anyone with copies, and photos of my relatives before 1900
I have never seen -- yet here are some around 1875 of the Pannett personfamily!!!
The reading is very nice -- and although a few things aren't understood readily from
the letter, she has taken the time to enhance this with information about the family,
times, etc. so it makes each and every letter so well-rounded and easily understood.
Nice addition to any library of Pannett researchers.
Just my 2cents worth.
