Just out of curiousity -- why would you think they both came into states in New Orleans,
LA -- did you find anything stating this, or just heard "through the grapevine",
etc???
The reason I ask is that many of the persons immigrating from France and Belgium and
Germany came into many different ports but Philadelphia, PA, Boston Mass, NY city, and the
ports in Galveston and Corpus Christi and Houston, TX are many of the other ports they
came into the states -- so wondering why ya'll have pinpointed New Orleans
specifically.
Just trying to add additional info on Perry co, IN and where various persons came from,
etc.

I would be interested in those records, also. I have looked for Jean
Baptiste Etienne with his family for several years and have not been able to
find them. He arrived in 1851 towards the end of the year as he arrived in
Derby in January of 1852 with his wife, several children, mother-in-law, and
brother-in-law, at the very least.
