Subject: [INPERRY] Challenge - Who are your ellusive ancestors?
BUT the challenge I would like to put here is WHO ARE YOUR ELLUSIVE (?
sp) ANCESTORS -- i.e. which names have you come up to "brick walls"
or "road blocks" and just can't seem to get beyond? Put their name,
spouse's name (if known), dates and places you already know [birth,
death, marriage], children's names, etc. Then put EXACTLY what it is
you can't seem to find.
Your suggestion is a great one.
It wasn't until I sat down, and organized what little I knew about Mary
Hesson (sometimes spelled as Hessen ) that I, and others, were able to root
out the info presented in my earlier post to the list.
Having info ( names & dates ) on the ancestry of Elijah Skelton, & John
Wells, does me no good until I determine the parentage, for sure, of my
Grandfather William Wells. :-D
Visiting the nearby National Archives, last year, for the 1st time, really
brought home to me the enormous challenge that Genealogy is.
As far as I know the other family names I have ( on my Maternal
Grandmother's side ) are all KY. so don't apply to this list.
