I normally don't allow ads of any kind to go here (with the exception of
professional genealogical researchers for our county (we have so few of
them) or persons who have specifically written books for the county -- such
as cemetery readings, marriage book readings, etc.
But, many persons have asked me how they can get hold of the various
history books for the county, and here is one by DeLaHunt that this lady is
selling on Ebay at auction --
So here is the info on how she is selling it, the address at ebay it will
be found (so you can bid on it if desired), the lowest amount it is offered
for, and how long it will be running at the auction.
(remember that if anyone does have a copy of this out-of-copyright book (or
any of the out-of-copyright history books) and wishes to scan each page,
using OCR and then send it in to me (jmurphy(a)erinet.com) to be put online
at the Perry Co webpages, I surely would appreciate that... and am sure
others would love to see this book online too.
I would like to personally bid on the book, but physical medical problems
and bills have strapped me for all my money -- so I will just have to wait
until some other time in the future when I find it for sale somewhere .....
Hopefully this book will go to someone who needs this book and can find
LOTS of genealogical gleanings for their own family in it.
Here is the info from Ms McCormick:

County - A History by Thomas James De la Hunt (1916)
I am going to be offering at auction on ebay listing it tonight (Date:
Mon, 14
>Jan 2002, it'll run for 10 days:
here is the link if a person wants to bid on it
http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1502471046
I had to put the minimum bid at $49 but there is no reserve price - it's a
very nice book and worth more than that. Whoever purchases it will not be
disappointed. It's a good-sized book - 359 pages.
Thanks again,
Janet
