Hi,
Since your answered the question below, I wonder if you would be so kind as to look for a
couple of things for me.
I'm looking for an article from 30 January 1938 about Mrs. Forrest Miller making fox
scarfs. If you could verify that it's in the Cannelton Reporter, that would be
wonderful.

Bob Nold --
I have the Perry Co. newspapers on microfilm in my personal library and
have transcribed the following article for you:
Cannelton Reporter, Sat., 23 Jan 1864, p. 2, c. 4.
Sheriff's Sale - No. 10
By virtue of an execution issued from the Clerk's Office of the Perry
Common Pleas Court, and to me directed in a case wherein the State of Indiana is
plaintiff and George Nold is defendant, I have levied on and will, on the
16th Day of February, 1864,
at the door of the Court House of Perry County, in the town of Cannelton,
Indiana, between the hours of 10 o'clock A.M. and 4 o'clock P.M. of said day,
offer for sale, at public auction, the following described real estate, to-wit:
The southwest quarter of the northeast quarter and the west half of the
southeast quarter of section number three (3), in township number seven, south of
range two west, containing one hundred and twenty acres, more or less, with
all the improvements thereon.
First offering, for a term not exceeding seven years, the rents and
profits of said real estate, and should said rents and profits fail to sell for a
sum sufficient to satisfy said execution, I will, at the same time and place,
offer for sale the fee simple, or some much thereof as will satisfy execution,
principal, interest and costs. Terms of sale cash.

Jan. 23, 1864 3w - $8.75

The same notice was published in the Jan. 30 and Feb. 6 Cannelton Reporter.
This type of sale was probably result of unpaid taxes.
