I just received word from the office of Indiana State Representative Lytle,
Chairman of the House of Representatives' Committee on Agriculture, Natural
Resources and Rural Development, that the DATE HAS BEEN CHANGED for the
hearings on SIX cemetery bills pending before the House!
The hearings will be held on:
Monday, February EIGHTH (8th), 1999
in the House Chambers
(third floor of the State House; east side)
The hearings will begin immediately upon conclusion of the general meeting
of the House of Representatives, which is scheduled to begin at 1:00 P.M.
Since they cannot predict when that session will be over, they cannot
pinpoint the time for the cemetery bills hearings to begin.
I was advised that we arrive at approximately 1:30 P.M. so we can be sure of
not missing anything.
NOTE: If you passed this morning's message on to anyone, please also
forward this update. I would feel terrible if people showed up a week early!
Detailed information about the pending bills is available on the Indiana
Pioneer Cemeteries Restoration Project (INPCRP) website at
http://www.rootsweb.com/~inprcp under "Pending Legislation".
