The 6/28/99 Indianapolis Star-News contains a story about a monument erected
at Beech Grove Cemetery in Muncie this past weekend to honor the estimated
230 Hoosiers killed when the steamboat Sultana exploded near Memphis,
Tennessee in 1865:

The memorial marker installed there was donated by Muncie monument maker Jim
Wilhoite after an effort to obtain a historical marker was declined.
