Ron is right....a GPS is an excellent mapping tool. You can get a
decent GPS for less money also....I work in the sporting goods
department of our Wal~Mart and have one a little cheaper.
Only one problem with the USGS survey...they do not list the entore list
of county cemeteries. It is a good start though. I have run a query on
Franklin County, Indiana and it came back with about 40 cemeteries....in
reality we have 144 at last count. I plan to add their listing to my
pcrp website soon...

Click on a cemetery to see Map. Takes a while but worth it.
We have a GPS unit donated to our group for locating cemeteries. $280.
It is $230 at Walmart now. But warning, Government thinks we may have an
A10 somewhere, so the readings are purposely inacurate by about 300
meters. You will find that the reading from your unit, the reading you
calculate from map, and reading from the county survey are all
differant. Close enough to get you where you want to go. Especially now
in the winter. Now is the time to hunt cemeteries. No leaves, no ticks,
No CHIGGERS, and I have stood in the middle of a 97 grave cemetery in
mid summer and not seen one stone for the growth.
Happy Hunting,
