First, the restoration of Plum Run Cemetery is now "complete". The updated
index is available on my website at:
http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Plains/5881/plumruncem.html
The index has been updated with several new entries, including quite a few
from stones which were excavated from as much as two feet underground.
Second, the Clark County Cemetery Preservation Committee has obtained
permission from the property owner to begin clean-up and restoration of the
long-neglected Francis Wells Family Cemetery in Silver Creek Township. The
site has not been tended in any way, shape or form for DECADES and is in
terrible condition. Only a single stone remains visible, though we believe
many more may be found when the project is completed. The CCCPC hopes to
begin work on this site in March 1998. The Francis Wells site can be found at:
http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Plains/5881/franciswellscem.html
Everything I presently know about these two sites is found on these pages.
As I don't have any familial connection to these lines, I don't have any
further data on these persons.
