Subject: [KENTUCKIANA-L] Breeden Burial Ground
The Breeden Burial Ground is located at the entrance to Potato Run
Church,
in the
Harrison-Crawford State Forest. Many of the stones are missing and
very few
are
standing and are hard to read.
We live at Santa Claus, IN and visit there 6-7 times a year. The last time
we were
there someone had put small red flags all over the cemetery.
Question: Is someone making an effort to locate the missing graves? If so,
who? We
would be willing to furniah information we have (which is not much)
on the
Breeden
Cemetery.
We are in the process of requesting a new government monument for my
Gr-Grandfather,
Uriah Breeden, who fought in the Civil War, 81st Ind Inf Co F. There
are
other
Breedens who fought in the was I would like to order Government
markers for
also.
Thanks for any information.
