How about putting the stones in a memorial wall? A good mason could work
wonders....

Placing headstones in concrete may seem to be ideal but watch out
for
cracking stones. We've been taught to NOT do this by the experts.
But since you bring up stones which have no home, I have a question for
everyone. I'm restoring a cemetery in Washington which was desecrated by
someone assuming ownership of an abandoned cemetery. They took a
bulldozer
and had all the objects (well, most of them) moved to the south end
of the
property. Because the burial records are gone we cannot place some of the
stones back in the correct spot. It's only due to the efforts of two
individuals that we can place some of them back.
We want to do a memorial of some fashion but have not had any great
suggestions as yet. Anyone have any wonderful ideas?
