Hello All:
Did you catch the news today where officials were cleaning the memorial that
was vandalized over the weekend with power washers and a soda/water
solution?

Just wish they weren't using a power washer. The best practices for cleaning
are out there, if people would only look. Guess this should be an article
for our newsletter, or at least some reference to it. We have got to educate
the public. Wonder if they would send a Tribal representative to the Grant
Co. or IHS workshop?

I would like to thank everyone who offered to help repair the vandalized
Miami Indian cemetery here in Grant County. I left repeated messages with
the tribal office and received no calls back from them. I heard this morning
from a library staff member who lives next to the cemetery that the tribe
was there doing the repairs themselves and using a power washer. So, I would
guess that they are not interested in our help. If I hear anything
different, I'll let you all know. I appreciate all the offers of help that I
received, it is great to know so many caring people are on this list.
