I won't go into all the details but some of our family went as observers and
couldn't believe what they were seeing and left. If the casket was broken
for instance what I heard was they just shoved the whole thing into the
reservoir floor grabbed the stone and put it at the Mississinewa site. End of
'move'. We don't know for sure exactly who is where needless to say.

I was working at French Lick In. in Orange Co. Ind. when Patoka Lake
watershed Project was built. I was familiar with several cemeteries that
were "Moved" by the Corp. of Engineers. I had saw them, when several of us
went hunting in most of the area where the Lake is now. But, I had no
relatives buried there, so I didn't let what I saw concern me. I feel
different now, and I remember how they came in and removed the Remains of
some that had stones. Other stones were knocked over, in the process, they
were ignored and are still there under water. I feel now that the stones were
knocked over by the equipment so they could be ignored. I have always carried
a camera, and I am sorry now that I took no Photos, although there was
nothing I could do. In the early 60,s I could have whispered in to the wind
for all the good it would have done. I sympathize with the plight you have,
but ? We in fact were told we were trespassing one day when we were
watching, and were asked to leave and stay out of the way.
