An " Old" Stone mason {I'm 72] gave me 8 ounces of "Rutlands Brick And
Stone
Cleaner" Code 83.
Directions: Rutland Brick and Stone Cleaner, Concentrated. A concentrated
formula for hard to remove baked on soot and creosote deposits on brick and stone
Fireplaces. The Formula for the really tough problem jobs. DIRECTIONS: Have
a stiff bristled scrub brush, soft cloths and a pail of potable water handy.
Spray Rutland Brick And Stone Cleaner liberally on area to be cleaned. Wet
brush and scrub vigorously to clean deep inside pores. Rinse with clean water.
Repeat if necessary. CAUTION: Contains strong solvent. Wear Rubber gloves when
using. Do not get in eyes. Do not take internally. Contains no added

I haven't had a chance to try it out on a test stone yet, but he said it
would clean stone without damaging it. This remains to be seen by me. If it
works, I'll be back.
