I agree also, Sheila and rest. We need to get back to what we started
helping other with cemetery work and solving problems together.
We are working M-W-F am at the Tipton's
Old Fairview Cemetery. It is about the worst for rows I have ever seen.
They are going everywhere. If anyone wants to come and join us or to see
what we are doing come over between 9-11 AM We usually leave around noon.
This is only good weather, if it rains we cancel.
This site has been real quite all winter. Hope every one is ok. We are
down to three working our other couple are trying to find a house on a lake.

Lee,
Thank you for that little comment. I didn't want to start anything just
wanted to clarify what this site is for. Larry and I are going to help
Jessica and her husband with a very large base and slotted base tomorrow at
a Clayton Cemetery. It is the one that she started last fall. Tuesday Larry
and I will be going back over to help with the kids. It is suppose to rain
:( . I haven't seen you on here for a while. I thought you had ditched us
all. Why don't we get together and plan a work day? For all you watchers out
there, you could check in once in a while just so we know you are still
kickin'.

I'm afraid I have to agree, its got more
mixed up into it, than what this list was designed for. Politics (aside
from what is grave site related) doesn't belong on here.
I don't think we will need a big consensus
on this particular issue. I wonder what everyone is up to on this years
work projects ?

THIS IS A CEMETERY -----
"Lives are commemorated - deaths are recorded - families
are reunited - memories are made tangible - and love is
undisguised. This is a cemetery.
"Communities accord respect, families bestow reverence,
historians seek information and our heritage is thereby enriched.
"Testimonies of devotion, pride and remembrance are carved
in stone to pay warm tribute to accomplishments and to the life -
not the death - of a loved one. The cemetery is homeland for family
memorials that are a sustaining source of comfort to the living.
"A cemetery is a history of people - a perpetual record of
yesterday and sanctuary of peace and quiet today. A cemetery
exists because every life is worth loving and remembering - always."
