ATTENTION MEMBERS OF LIST .................... WE NEED YOUR HELP!!!!
About six years ago, when the Knox County Cemetery Commission sued the
Trustees of this county for not taking care of the cemeteries in each
township, some fool brought to town and placed on the Court House lawn a
tombstone, as a "jab" to the Cemetery Commission.
The tombstone has had a home thrown behind the sign in front of the Knox
County Law Enforcement Agency since that time and was, for a
while, used as a door prop in the summer, until members of the Commission
asked them to stop.
Anyway, after searching high and low, it was determined that the
stone, new style granite about 9"x12"x24" with inscription on top, was not
from Knox County.
Thinking that the fool didn't haul it very far, (not from more than a three
state area), I am putting out a call of all members of this list to help
check their cemetery books, obits. and county death records to
help return it to the proper place.
The stone reads:
FRANK L. OSBORN
July 6, 1883
June 25, 1938
Please help return Frank L. Osborn's stone to his grave.
Jon Andrews
Knox County Cemetery Commission
