Sharon,
All that water went to another cemetery that day for our own cleanings.
I wish I could have returned on Sunday, but I had other work, and even
missed showing up when and where I should have on a graveyard.
I noticed many people from the general region who volunteer their time
in cemeteries. Even those that I would consider borderline hostile (due
to the many years they have in, or even suffer from the "expert
syndrome") did not
have anything negative. Mark and Helen were straight forward, this is
what "we"
do and how "we" do it. There was no
indocrination on this being the only way
and the only correct way. Some of those
present are far from friendly with other like minded individuals, and
still everyone
put all that aside. I understand there is a video making the rounds,
and it is being
well received. Anyone who has been at this work for any substanial
length of time
realizes its alot like politics, several different parties with
different beliefs and platforms. And there always seems to be some
messiah trying to educate the rest of us, because we are ignorant.
The big word at this event was encouragement, We actually number so
few, that at this point most of our cemeteries will not be touched, we
need more people to get started, get going on their own. I can only
hope this process started at that cemetery and is getting stronger.
