HEY! I live in SC now but lived in THE GREAT STATE OF INDIANA for over 35
years and still consider myself a Hoosier, and a Boilermaker. I have always,
and will always as long as I can walk, visit my ancestors' graves at least once
a year. The Overleese Cem. I wrote about, I visited last week in the snow
because the snakes overtake the area from spring to fall. I put flags on my
American Revolution hero and other war veterans' graves, and treasure their
sacrifices. I gaze at the raw land they took and made into homes, farms, and
springboards for my existance, and give thanks to God that I was so blessed to have
these brave-hearted, sturdy, God-loving Hoosier pioneers for my ancestors. I
WILL DO EVERYTHING WITHIN MY POWER TO PERSERVE THEM AND THEIR MEMORY. I do not
blame the people of Indiana, or the government of Indiana. Hidden country
cemeteries fall into disrepair in all states. Let's just move forward together
as responsible citizens and try to address the problem positively. Early
cemeteries in older states like the 13 colonies (like where I live now) have been
through this successfully. Let's not reinvent the wheel. Mary Ann
