Subject: Moving a grave
I know of a family that wishes to move a grave in Indiana.
Samuel JACOBS, born 23 Mar 1760 in VA, and died 26 Jan 1840 in Johnson Co.
IN Ninevah Twp.. A Revolutionary War veteran Culpepper Co. in the 2nd
Regiment, Virginia Continental Line. (Roster of Soldiers and Patriots of
the American Revolution buried in Indiana). Samuel is buried on the Abner
Hardin farm in Ninevah Township, Johnson County, Indiana. The DAR placed a
stone there in 1957.
The farm owner where he is buried wishes the grave to be moved also, but the
ones working on the move are not getting any where with it. Do you have any
suggestions as to what procedure you must go through?
Thanks for any help you can give.
June
