Brian:
Take a short drive into Newton County some day and I'll be happy to show
you what a difference I've made in the promotion and funding of real cemetery
restoration, not tombstone rubbing.
Now let's drop it and move on.

Well, hopefully those who know me will attest that I'm not
mean...but I
also don't see the relevance to what this list is intended to do. You
wanna
talk weeds, tombstones, access rights, etc...I'm with you 100%.
The
examination and forensics of skeltons? Sorry.......and it's not my
mission
statement that I was referring to. It was the one you apparently
believed in
when you subscribed to this list.
Some of us (many?) would prefer to make our own decisions about the
degree to which proferred information is germane to our interests.
I for one find hitting the delete key to be relatively easy, and I have
come to dread list nazis who take it upon themselves to decide what
other people are interested in. Even worse I dislike it when such
busybodies criticize others for their good-faith attempts to share
information with the list.
I could--but will not--make a lot of possible connections between the
topics of cemetery restoration and the study of skeletal remains.
I'm sure Sam will go away, just like you asked. I sure wish he wouldn't
though, on behalf of us who are apparently more broadly interested in
this topic than just rubbing the faces of gravestones.

This list is for sharing pioneer cemetery questions, ideas and restoration
projects.
