Hello LA,
Katie Karrick of "Tomb With A View" Sent me information on that
book, I am going to see about obtaining a copy and do a presentation
on these unique monuments. The book was Tree Stump Tombstones: A
Field Guide to Rustic Funerary Art in Indiana by Susanne S. Ridlen.
Thanks to all who helped with my questions, I ended up with about 250
photos in an 89 slide powerpoint presentation that I am going to call
"The A to Z of Gravestone Art. After working on this for a while
though, I have determined that this little 2 hour presentation is
only the tip of the iceburg, one could almost do a week-long seminar
on Indiana Gravestone Art!

Ernie,
I know there was a book written on this area for woodsman of the world.
I can't find it right now. Maybe someone else knows of it. I think the
author was from Kokomo.
I have found other sites with photos of what your talking about.
Here's 2. Got me curious now.
