Brian: Oh my god, that would be wonderful and so very much appreciated. My
parents located Hartwell Jordan's grave some years back and returned with
tools to tidy it up. It was on private property, was not well cared for and
how cows grazing in the vicinity. They cleaned the area and stood his marker
back upright. According to the web site though there should be quite a number
of people buried there, but so far I haven't been able to locate anyone who
has any interest. My folks took a picture of my gggrandfather's stone.
Good luck on your trip and thank you very much for your interest.
Martha,
I'm going up that way tomorrow to see if I can find Hay and Scott
cemeteries. I'll swing by and photograph Carson cemetery as well if I find
it. If the cemetery is on private property, usually the trustee doesn't deal
with it. I've photographed 8 cemeteries in Vigo county that the owners have
taken excellent care of.
