Subject: Re: [INPCRP] Re: An explanation For INPCRP Needed
Good morning list,
I have been given the email list to administer for now. We all know
our focus is to share the knowledge about pioneer cemetery restoration.
I for one enjoy hearing about others projects and their questions.
This morning I am re-posting the welcome message to everyone. It's probably
been a while since you have read this. The webpages are still on hold and
someone will deal with them soon.
So carry on, hopefully with respect when your writing the this list. We have
over 150 others subscribed. And remember this, your emails to this list are
archived...forever on Rootsweb.
Have a nice weekend everyone, I look forward to getting my hands
dirty. Again! :-)
L.A.

Welcome to the INPCRP mailing list! You are currently subscribed in "mail
mode", which means that you will receive every posting made to INPCRP as a
separate e-mail. The directions on how to change to digest mode are given
below.
My Name is L. A. Clugh and I am the List Manager for INPCRP. Please send any
questions about subscribing and unsubscribing to this list to
clugh_la(a)msn.com
The purpose of the Indiana Pioneer Cemeteries Restoration Project e-mail
group is the discussion of cemetery restoration project activities and
progress, restoration techniques, and research assistance.
Please don't post genealogical queries to the group. If that is your
intention, we recommend you join the e-mail discussion group for the surname
in which you are interested or the appropriate state or county list. (See
http://lists.rootsweb.com for more information on such lists.)
First, a couple of primary rules from our host at Rootsweb:
NO FLAMING ALLOWED. Your posts should not flame or
otherwise harass other users and should be reasonably
on topic for the areas where they appear. You should
otherwise adhere to the principles of netiquette.
Further, vulgarity is not permitted on messages posted
to the list. This is NOT the place to air personal
grievances against others. Violation of the prohibition
against flaming, vulgarity or harassing others on this
list is grounds for moderating a member's postings or
removal from the list.
NO OFF-TOPIC POSTINGS. This means no virus alerts,
chain letters, off-topic jokes, etc.
NO COMMERCIAL POSTINGS PERMITTED. Posting messages
relating to activities that involves the exchange of
money between members are expressly prohibited by RootsWeb,
except with Rootsweb's express permission. However,
the last thing that we want is for policy to get in
the way of our doing cemetery research, restoration and
preservation. Therefore, the INPCRP list will accept
brief announcements of books and other resource material
for sale that are specifically related to this subject.
If possible, don't include prices and ordering info;
just include a brief description, a website address or
an e-mail address where further information can be obtained.
NO COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT ALLOWED. Post only materials
or information that is not protected by copyright law.
When you post to RootsWeb, you must either be the
copyright holder (that basically means you wrote it),
have written permission from the copyright holder, or
the material must clearly be in the public domain.
==========================
1. How to unsubscribe. Send a message to:
INPCRP-L-request(a)rootsweb.com
that contains (in the body of the message) the command
unsubscribe
and no additional text.
2. How to subscribe. Whatever you just did worked, or you'd
not be getting this message. But for future reference (for instance, if
your subscription is cancelled for whatever reason and you want to
resubscribe), just send the command "subscribe" to
INPCRP-L-request(a)rootsweb.com.
3. How to change to digest mode (several postings are combined and sent to
you together as a single large message). There are two steps. First, send
the command "unsubscribe" to INPCRP-L-request(a)rootsweb.com to discontinue
mail mode. Second, send the command
"subscribe" to INPCRP-D-request(a)rootsweb.com to start receiving digests.
4. How to change to NOMAIL mode. There is no formal NOMAIL mode. All you
have to do is follow the directions above and unsubscribe when you want the
messages to stop, and then when you want them to start again, simply
subscribe again.
5. If you'd like to post a message so everyone on the mailing list receives
it, just send it to INPCRP-L(a)rootsweb.com. It will then be sent on to
everyone in both mail and digest mode. You don't need to send it explicitly
to both.
