Megan,
My name is Sheila Morrison. I believe I have writen to you before concerning this
cemetery. My partner, Larry Tippin have been contacted by the caretakers of Deer Creek
Cemetery about restoring it, and we are going to this fall. We will be mapping and
plotting this cemetery. We will also document everything we do on every stone. You are
welcome to come meet us at the cemetery anytime. We are always glad to have families input
in restoration. My phone # is 765-522-4156. You can call anytime. Leave a message if we
aren't home and I will call you back. By the way, we use alot of off. Sheila

Does anyone have information on the Deer Creek Cemetery in Putnam County, Indiana (near
the Deer Creek Primitive Baptist Church--south of US 40)??
There are a number of pioneer stones there, including my gr-gr-gr-gr-gr grandfather,
William ALBIN, who served in the Revolutionary War. There are a number of tombstones
around his (including the stone of his wife, Jane) that are broken or badly eroded. I
wonder if they could be more of my missing ancestors. Just wondered if anyone had done a
map/plotting/reading or had burial records from that particular cemetery.
That would be a fun cemetery to restore except the nasty biting flies that attack me every
time I leave my car. Yuck.
Thanks in advance for any help!
