Slow down everybody....please. Everyone here has been quick to blame someone
for something we're not even sure of yet. Let's let the investigation take
its course and go from there.
I would like to believe that these stones are from a monument company for now
until something else is proven. 30-40 stones isn't a lot if the business
were operating for several years...it's not like you can go back and erase a
mistake on a stone like you can a mistake made on paper, or paint over it if
you make it while painting...today, these stone makers can cover their
mistakes, but 40-50 years ago it was not as easy. There must be a reason why
the contractor stated this in the article. Let's see what happens. And
let's don't be so quick to blame the beaurocrats, either. The contracted
bridge builder would more likely be the one who lined up where the fill came
from, often times without any knowlege of the government officials at the
time.
Let's just take a deep breath and see what happens.
Thanks,
Kyle
