Dan very good point need to get the word out. I can't hardly see a Moument
place making that many mistakes. 30 to 40 I almost bet they were dump
from some old cemetery.
They need to get the word out Newspapers, and and genelogy librarys and
Historial Society they should have some kind of records of names in differ
cemeteries around . Maybe by luck the misplace stones would be claimed.
Mae
very good point Dan. I think this is probably from an old cemetery in
the area. I know in Morgan County we have plenty of them that we
can't
locate becuase the farmer "dumped" the stones down a ravine, or in a
well or some other inaccessable spot. But of course, that was always
the "neighbor" that did it, not the land owner.

the local papers and make sure it appears on the Internet, including the
INPCRP site, a full transcription of ALL of the gravestones that were
found "30 to 40," to see if they were some "leftover stones that were
used as fill because of mistakes made by the monument company" or what
we all suspect. Obviously, if they were mistakes, the monument company
is LONG SINCE HISTORY - no company could prosper with that kind of error
rate.
