Sorry Kyle, Aol Sent that last one somrhow. As to changing a
mistake on a stone 40-50 years ago, That far back I was learning how to cut
inverted stone plugs and use a block of wood and a Small Leather Mallet to
nudge them into place, and then sand enough it disapeared. And I have saw
Tombstones repaired probably a 100 years or more ago. Granted it was not
easy, but remember , these guys were good. Something very Serious had to
happen to through one away. They were cut down for foot stones if they
chipped or broke. They never wasted much. This is just some things I have
saw. But you are right, they could have been tossed.
