Jack:
State law says that any place where there are human remains is a cemetery;
covered by the same laws.
If some one where to uncover these remains they are required by law to stop
digging and within two days contact the DNR-DHPA.
As for locations, do the landowners know they have this on their property?
Does the plan commission know of this? The plan commission (or zoning
office) gives out building permits and can help enforce the no ground
disturbance within 100 ft of these cemeteries.
If you have additional questions, do not hesitate to ask.

Subject: [INPCRP] Opinion Subject (Burials) What do you think ?
I have been researching Death Records and in 1906 - 1907 I discovered that 3
differint instances of childern carried full term never were able to get
started breathing. Cause of Death; Still Born. These Babys were buried in
their respective back yards. I know the addresses in New Albany where they
were buried. NOW, the next question is, since these are human remains, are
these under present Law considered Burial sites.. NEXT question. What if
someone is digging in those yards and discover what I would call Human
Remains must they notify anyone connected with the State within 48 hrs. as
required by Law. Anyone have any ideas about this, or should I ignore what
I
read and keep my mouth SHUT ?????? I don't know if it was Legal then or
not. Regaurdless I found the names of 7 cemeteries in these unique records
that Ihad never heard of ?? Just Asking,
