You might check out the Brooklyn cemetery on Church St. I think there are
Hadley's there. I know that it is a name found in a lot of cemeteries in
Morgan, Hendricks, Marion, and parts of Johnson Co.
What part of Brooklyn was the stone found?
I think there was a cemetery in the yard of one of the churches in town in
the 1800s. I just can't prove it yet.

Subject: [INPCRP] Rebecca Hadley d Hendricks Co, tombstone found Morgan Co
Hello,
A family living near Brooklyn in Morgan Co has found a single tablet stone
for Rebecca Hadley, wife of Harlan, who died in 1859 at age 26. I see
that Rebecca is listed as being buried in Maple Hill Cemetery at Harding
and Stafford Roads in Plainfield. Her husband, who lived much longer than
she did, is also buried there.
Does anyone know if the information listed on the Plainfield Library
website is for a current stone? It may be that the stone in Morgan County
is for a discarded stone, but why it would turn up under sod in someone's
yard in Morgan County is a mystery, particularly as there is no known
family relationship. The same family has owned the property for over 40
years.
The family wants to return the stone to the appropriate location.
