Steve Franklin is an officer with the SAR. He contacted me this evening
asking if we had heard any updates on the status of Fleetwood Cemetery in
Brown County, IN. This is the one where the fellow was being criminally
prosecuted for turning the cemetery adjacent to his house for a septic
field.
The person who contacted Steve has acquired a Revolutionary War veteran
marker for their ancestor, but are awaiting the outcome of the criminal
matter before having it installed.
I have posted the photo of the stone to:
http://www.rootsweb.com/~inpcrp/william_Wilkerson_gravestone.jpg
I thought some of you might be interested in seeing how LONG these stones
are. We only see half or less once they are installed. Also, the stone is
listed as weighing 230 POUNDS.
The bottom line is, "Does anyone know anything at all about the status of
the prosecution regarding Fleetwood Cemetery?"
