Excellent, Jack. Wonderful news.
We all have to keep in mind that baby steps are but the precursors to leaps
and bounds.

To the List;
I feel like a burden has been lifted from my shoulders since I
received the Above E-mail. From the New Georgetown Township Trustee in
Floyd
County. This is the most promising thing I have heard since I started
trying
to save our Pioneer cemeteries. I hope others of you have this kind
of
turn
around in your counties. My New Years Resolution was to push a little
harder
for some type of cemetery recognition, and get some action. I now
believe
it
will be a much better year than I could ever have hoped for. I also
have
been
asked to speak to the Southern Indiana Genealogical Society at
it's Feb.
6th
meeting. Maybe things really are going to change for the better this
year.
The County Residents are beginning to take notice of the cemetery
conditions. And thanks to the New Trustee, David Riley, I feel much better
already. Davids brother is the Trustee for the adjoining Twp. of Franklin,
and I also have received Excellent cooperation from Tom Cannon, the New
Albany Twp. Trustee. Things are looking up. I guess persistence does pay
off,
especially when people take their job seriously and try their best to
follow
the law. We wont finish in a year, but I believe we will make the
Proverbial
"Dent" in the mess we now have to contend with.
