Jim, also, don't forget the Sons of the Rev., they might be able
to
connect you to their group involved with those encounters. There is a
group in Centerville that meets and gets all excited about any thing Rev
War. And don't forget Boy Scout Eagle projects! Union County is home to
Troop 40. Eagle projects have included
cleaning/restoration/indexing/photos. I work with Scouts so let me know
if you are interested. Some of the past projects are pretty awesome.
Have you thought of offering the opportunity to local funeral directors to
"Adopt a Cemetery"? Even if it's a couple hundred dollars a year, it's
going in the right direction.

Kathy,
Good ideas. Descendants were found and they have been trying to contact
the
township trustee. See below;
Joan,
I have sent you several e-mail's, phone messages and letters since
November
2006 and I have heard no reply. I hope everything is ok.
In case this email reaches Joan in error[she might have a new email], I
have
copied the people involved with the Revolutionary War Event, that took
place
at New Hope Cemetery - Union County, IN honoring James Davis on Saturday,
October 28, 2006 at 11:00 a.m.
[Does anyone have a different email or contact information on Joan]
You mentioned at this event that you would look into what Union County
budget you can request to restore the New Hope Cemetery.
Please let me know the status in this.
Thank You
-Jim Davis

Jim lives in North Carolina I believe.
Thanks for your interest,
