they would help... you could send any pix you have to _vincekoers(a)ol.com_

LA,
Remember back about 3 or 4 years ago. I had a go round with The Nature
Preserve about the St Johns cemetery that is in Morgan Twp. in Harrison Co.
that
My G.G.. Grandfather is buried in. They would burn it every year because of
the " Prarie Grass" (Weeds) that was symbolic of the Native grasses that
grew
there when the country was settled. I took them on and said burning was
not
good for the stones. They told me to get some proof. I told them ,I did not
need it, they were doing the Burning ,quite a few told me "you can't butt
heads with them and win. Well we comprimised and the trustee mows the
cemetery
Nov.the 1st every year and they no longer burn it. Or at least they hadn't
the
last time I was out there. At least you can get in to see the stones at
least 6 months out of a year.
That was a Hot Topic for most of September. But I Got Part of what I
wanted. Also they had an 8 ft. X 3 ft Wooden Sign in the front like you see
in State Parks. I told them that it was not Appropriate for a cemetery. They
asked what kind of sign did I want. I showed them a Picture of a sign up
North.that was about 12 in X 16 in. with the Name Nature Preserve on it and
a
Contact Number for the DNR. They couldn't argue with the Picture. So if
someone
finds a situation like that, take Em on. You may not get all you want, but
perseverance will get you some action (Incidentally, the Grass, or weeds,
what
ever they were at least 5-6 feet high) Vince, this may be what you
