Topozone.com Pick the nearest way point (Town,City, just about anywhere)
arrows will move you in the right direction. Use the readings you take in (I
go to the Center of the Cemetery Or Burial site) Move the arrow until the
numbers you recorded in the field, either Latitude and Longitude, or UTM
(Universal Transverse Mercator Grid. You have to set which ever you are using
on the bottom of the map after you scroll it up. I recommend size !:50,000
and set size of map at top to (Small) they have a link you click on if you
have never used it before. It takes a little practice. After you get your map
in the right place move the mouse arrow until the numbers on bottom of screen
match what you recorded, click mouse and a target will appear. I have about
60 different maps for Sites in Floyd Co. I printed a cover telling what my
book is and plastic scroll bound it. About every 10 new ones I have them
added. Mine are placed in the book alphabetically. I print the map, trim it
have it enlarged 200 percent, then trim and put my Caption across the Bottom
(Cemetery name, number , Twp, and Sec. with exact directions.,) With practice
this will work for anyone. But you can get a Program (I work out my own
system) Also on
Topozone.com
Throw this away and buy a Program, I belive it's about $ 149.00 But I dont
know how to use it?
