Barbara,
The cemetery you are referring to, is known today as the "Barrett" cemetery.
It is about 2 miles South of Knightstown, just West of the SSCH. This
cemetery was started by the West Liberty Bethel Presyterian Church about
1823. West Liberty was moved North to the Cumberland Road (US #40) when it
was being laid out in the county and today West Liberty is known as
Knightstown. The Bethel Church moved to Knightstown about 1833 and is still
organized in Knightstown, they continued to use the cemetery up to about
1880.
The "Barrett" cemetery has been recorded and all names on the grave stones
are in the "Wayne Township Cemetery Records", a book by Thomas Mayhill
avaiable at the Bookmark book store in Knightstown.

Angela,
Don't know exactly where the cementery was at, but I don't remember us
having to take a bus to get to it. It belongs to the Indiana Soldiers and
Sailors Children's Home. It used to be called an Orphan Homes, until
every
body that was down there had parents.
It is right out side of Knightstown, though I can't remember where.
I
haven't been down there since 1964.
Hope you can find out something on it.
The lady from Marion, Ind. works for The IOOF Cementery(now called
Estates of the Serenity.) m She told me she knew someone that was
interested
in old cementery. Especially Civil War Cementeries.
Sorry I can't be of more help.
