Hi, I have seen several instances where the mowing people have caused
damage in the cemeteries also. I always try to talk to the trustees,
stressing to them how important it is that they talk to their mowing
contractors. We have had one instance where the mower people had to pay to
have a repair done. They should carry liability insurance if they work in
any of the cemeteries. It is frustrating to see how fast they can mow a
cemetery. I've seen some mowing people also that do a wonderful job,
taking the responsiblity seriously. They are not usually responsible for
multiple cemeteries though. This is another instance of why it is so
important to photograph the stones. Then you have proof that the stones
were in good condition before they were struck.
Hope everyone is staying cool.

Subject: [INPCRP] Broken stones
Hello:
I haven't heard from anyone for a while. You all must be touched in the
head from the heat or drowned from all the rain. (joke)
I was wondering if anyone out there has had problems with the contract
mowers paid by the township trustees. We have had two instances this year
of broken stones that I am positive was caused by the mower. We reported
this to the Township Trustee each time. What are you to do? This is
frustrating. One we had just repaired last week and found it yesterday.
Have a good summer.
