I am sure that this person has as his employer is a business. But....that
doesn't stop the damage. Wouldn't them be liable the same as anyone doing
damage under the Indiana laws? I am pretty dense on this, but seems like
they would be.

I think the point Helen was trying to make was that someone that is
contracted to work in a twp cemetery,(such as mowing the grass), should have
business liability insurance that protects the assests of the township if
that contractor should break a stone while mowing.

Hello:
I haven't heard from anyone for a while. You all must be touched in the
head from the heat or drowned from all the rain. (joke)
I was wondering if anyone out there has had problems with the contract
mowers paid by the township trustees. We have had two instances this year
of broken stones that I am positive was caused by the mower. We reported
this to the Township Trustee each time. What are you to do? This is
frustrating. One we had just repaired last week and found it yesterday.
