Mary,
Here are two different emails concerning the Russell's you were
inquiring about. I'm going to email Fred again to clarify which Livingston Cemetery
he was talking about.
[1]
James was the brother to William Russell father of William, sarah, preston
who all married Livingston's. I know that James Russell died about 1849 and I
thought he was in the Livingston Cem not the Andrew Miller Livingston cem
since there are, according to the records, 2 cemeteries. This James Russell is
an "uncle" to to Fred and I . As far as I know off the top of my head he
wasn't blood related to Robert Livingston. But I wouldn't say for sure.

Good morning to yall up in the cold country.
Nancy, according to Jeff's research which is extensive James & Mary (Helms)
Russell had 4 children:
Mary (Polly) born 1826 m Elias Michael 2 Oct 1845
Nancy born 1827 Her marriage to James Livingston in 1840 has been scratched
out so don't know who she married. Guess she would have been 13 yrs old in
1840.
William born 1828 married Ann E. 1849
Elisabeth born 1829 married Silas Tongate 16 Aug 1848
Looks like James was so happy to get those kids married off he just died of
happiness.
A few years ago Sue Wilcox & I were prowling that cemetery looking for
relatives. As we were getting ready to leave I tripped over a head stone that was
laying face down & half burried under leaves & dirt. Just for the heck of
it I turned the stone over and there it was James Russell. It was kinda hard
to read but I poured some 7up on it and and it had his death date of Jan
1849. I had no idea that any of his family was burried there.
Jeff may be able to shed a little more light on who Nancy married.
Is Mary Gardner a relative?
