Sorry. Tuscola is so close that I thought it was in our county. Murdock is close to
Tuscola, which is the county seat of Douglas County, about l/2 hour drive from here. Our
archives are the best in the area, although I don't know what is in Tuscola. Let me
have details if you'd like me to look something up.

JoAnn, I'm sure that our archives would be of some help. I don't know Murdock off
hand, but Tuscola is in our county. The Urbana Free Library is the Champaign County
archives, as well as having newspapers and all Illinois censuses on microfilm. For Nancy
who is coming to Owen County and looking for a family who later moved to Illinois, we
would need to learn where in Illinois they were. Champaign County is well documented here
and Danville, Iroquois County, has resources for the bordering counties in Indiana, as
well.
