Tony suggests that Mary Light was George Light's sister, not his brother. You can see
that my mind is getting scrambled with the ins and outs of the Lights.

Oops, catch it quick. Mary Light, in first sentence, was not daughter of George Light.
She was George Light's brother. She was daughter of Jacob Light, Sr.

Do you know of descendants of Mary Light and John Jones, who lived in Owen County,
Indiana? I have sketchy undocumented information that Mary Light, daughter of George
Light, married John Jones.
Mary (Polly) Light, born 1774 South Carolina, died after 1850 in Owen County, Indiana,
married John Jones. Censuses much later show John & Mary Jones in Owen County,
Indiana. Do you know their ancestry?
Her parents were Jacob Light, Sr. b. 1735 Halifax County, Virginia, died 1818 Pendleton
District, Anderson County, South Carolina, married Ann Russell, b. Halifax Co. VA, d. SC.
We are also searching for info about her brother, son of Jacob Light, Sr. & Ann
Russell. George Light, born 1771 SC, purchased land in Madison County, Alabama in 1831,
married Lanpassa Jane Tex, family story of a Choctaw Indian in the family line.
P.S. for Anton Neff, please enter this as a query in the Owen County, Indiana, Magazine
of History and Genealogy.
