Listmembers-
As many of you are probably aware of there has been some spam sent to the mailing list.
These types of mail are suppose to be filtered out by the Rootsweb system but
occassionally they are not.
When I so receive them I immediately remove the sender from our mailing list and delete
the email.
If any of you should receive a message that you have been deleted from the mailing list,
it means that your system is most likely putting out spam and has been infected. Please
check your system and your email BEFORE contacting me to reinstate you to the mailing
list.
Even though I remove these people from the list it does take some time for their emails to
get out of the system if they have already been sent.
I can only control so much of this- which is actually what is appearing on the mailing
list.
For those of you who receive them under your private email (as I am also doing) even
though the sender might appear to be familiar (which has been the case in many instances)
you might stop before opening it and ask yourself a couple of questions.
1. AM I CURRENTLY CORRESPONDING WITH THIS PERSON?
2. AM I EXPECTING SOMETHING FROM THIS PERSON?
3. IS THERE ANYTHING ABOUT THE SUBJECT LINE THAT IS ODD?
Let your answers determine whether you should open the email or not.
Please delete them completely from your email system.
